The Stuart Brisley Interviews reviewed in Art Monthly
The April issue of Art Monthly is now out and features an excellent review by Frank Wasser of The Stuart Brisley Interviews: Performance and its Afterlives.
What comes across, particularly in the informal nature of the interview format, is his insistence that he never has predetermined ideas or notions of his work. This makes the book, in many respects, better documentation than any photograph…the relevance of these ideas to the current art world make this book a must-read for artists and educators alike.

The issue also contains a cover profile with Rosa-Johan Uddoh, whose new book, Practice Makes Perfect, we will be publishing later this year, along with Focal Point Gallery, Southend, to mark the exhibition of the same name (opening on 19 May 2021).
