While other people were busy attempting to recreate their fast food restaurant experiences from home during lockdown, with some of them getting a fair amount of media coverage, Stewart Home was missing the claustrophobic atmosphere of London’s Central Line during rush hour rather than junk food. Here he shows how anyone can recreate a London tube commute from their apartment. Without too much adaptation it will also work for pretty much any metro system in the world. All you need is a little imagination and one or more of the experimental novels from the Semina series Stewart Home edited for Book Works!
Stewart Home has a legendary reputation as a writer, artist and filmmaker. His writing includesThe Assault on Culture: Utopian currents from Lettrisme to Class War (1988), Re-Enter The Dragon: Genre Theory, Brucesploitation & the Sleazy Joys of Lowbrow Cinema (2018), and numerous novels including the forthcoming She’s My Witch (2020).
From 2007–10 he worked for Book Works as the commissioning editor of Semina, a series of acclaimed experimental novels.
