Prototype books created for the architect which includes a slipcase that unfolds to create a stand for the books to rest. The folding slipcase design was based on initial sketches but had to be transformed into something that worked in reality. Both forms of the slipcase and stand had to be strong enough to hold this pair of heavy books, but also to be taken apart easily. The books and slipcase are cloth covered with extensive foil blocking on the covers.
