A special fine binding for a book created for Factum Arte documenting the traditional wall painting patterns from a village of Amir on the Yemeni border. One of the hand drawn designs was used in the form of leather onlays onto the front and back covers of the calfskin binding. Some of the onlays are flat to the surface and other elements raised. The title on the front and back covers is also blocked using a specialised technique involving two colours of foil. The book has hand embroidered headbands and is presented in a silk covered clamshell box.
