Various works for the artist created from existing copies of JET magazine referencing the role of black Americans in US history, and also referencing the work of Josef Albers. The single or double shelf works titled Nump, Holy Nation and Creature, Come Hither, were created from old copies of books about American history and featured the artists’ poetry on the spines of the books.
