Switch Expander

Ikon Gallery, Birmingham, B1, 29 September – 9 October, 2004

Leipzig based artists Tilo Schulz and Mark Hamilton examine the editorial relationships between art, the exhibition and its audience, employing wall paintings, sculpture and archive TV and film footage to re-address the mediation of art and ideas and their relation to a nomadic audience. As contributors to and co-editors of Spector cut paste Schulz and Hamilton’s installations lift text from the page to ask ‘What would a 3D publication look like?’
