Over the year we run approximately 20 one day classes for groups of students or for organisations wanting to learn some of the skills of hand bookbinding. These can be pre- booked to suit your needs and can cater for up to 8 students at a time. The workshops take place at Book Works giving the students the opportunity to see the Studio in operation. During the course we will teach the students how to make two of the following types of binding: hardback book, Japanese style binding or a paperback book. If you have any specific requirements then please feel free to ask. All the materials and equipment are provided for the course, and the aim is to give each of the students the knowledge and confidence to create the books for themselves after the day is completed.
