Our book of the month, with 30% off for the whole of April, is You are of Vital Importance by Sarah Tripp.
You Are of Vital Importance is a group of 62 pieces of prose fiction marked by preoccupations with character, professional personas, conversational knots and the social economies of art making.
A variety of tones, approaches and conditions of writing are employed to create proximity to, and distance from, characters, communities and objects.
Tripp is preoccupied with the critique of narrative, the structuring of unstructured activity and the translation of bodily experience. She works with the forms of anecdote, film, performance and printed words; rooting her practice in observation and experience. Her works are marked by the use of multiple perspective, episodic structure and suspended denouement.
Sarah Tripp is an artist, writer and lecturer based in Glasgow. Previous Book Works publications include You are of vital importance (2014) and Guitar!
