In 2020 MAP commissioned The Self-Illuminating Pen – a series of letters by Sarah Tripp and specially commissioned films by Isobel Lutz-Smith, as a companion to her new book, Guitar! (Book Works 2021).

To accompany the series and book, MAP Editions produced a writers notebook which first published in November 2020 in a print edition of 100. With cover artwork by Ciara Phillips, it contained 5 letters, 5 new writing exercises by Sarah Tripp and over 100 blank pages.

Due to the success of the first edition, MAP Editions have now produced a new writers notebook with a new cover. This new edition is available from MAP free of charge.
