L’Imaginaire is a lipstick mirror that has been subtly altered by the artist. Contained in a sumptuous raw silk-covered box with cushioned satin lining, the lipstick mirror has been engraved with the word ‘moi’ that appears as a reflection when opened at the correct angle.
The piece addresses notions of narcissism and vanity and the development of the ego on recognition of one’s image.
