The Brazen Oracle

The Brazen Oracle was produced in response to the unique collections from the Harry Price Library of Magical Literature and the Goldsmith’s Library of Economic Literature, both housed in Senate House Library, University of London. This research was initiated as part of the Book Works’ project Library Relocations.
The Brazen Oracle looks at two apparently opposing ways of viewing the world: economics versus magic. The book contains a fold-out panoramic view of books from the Harry Price Collection which can be cut-up and sent as postcards. The reverse side of the postcards contain quotations that look at magic in different cultures.
